Location: London, UK (4 days in-office, 1 day remote)

Salary: £150,000- £170,000 + Bonus

The Role

I am looking for an experienced Director of Engineering to lead a high-performing team of 100 engineers. In this role, you will drive the development of our next-generation SaaS products and tools, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of enterprise clients. This is a key leadership position where you’ll directly impact the strategic direction of the engineering efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of 100 engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Product Development: Oversee the design, development, and delivery of cutting-edge SaaS products that enhance enterprise experiences.
• Strategic Vision: Collaborate closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders to define and execute the technical roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Technical Excellence: Ensure the highest standards in software development practices, focusing on scalability, security, and performance.
• Talent Development: Drive recruitment, retention, and professional development initiatives to build and sustain a world-class engineering team.
• Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends, continually seeking new ways to improve our product offerings and maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications

• Experience: 10+ years in software engineering with a minimum of 5+ years in a leadership role, ideally within the SaaS industry.
• Team Leadership: Proven track record of managing large engineering teams (50+), with experience in scaling and optimizing team performance.
• Technical Skills: Deep understanding of cloud architecture, modern software development practices, and enterprise SaaS solutions.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to align technical initiatives with broader business objectives and drive impactful results.
• Communication: Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
• Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
