Software Test Engineer – South West England

£30 000.00 – £40 000.00 per annum

We have partnered with an exciting Audio firm that is looking for a Test Engineer to join their team. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of embedded product software and target device applications for cutting-edge audio products. You’ll play a pivotal role in developing and executing test plans, collaborating closely with their APP development team, and interfacing with software developers and other teams to resolve issues and enhance product quality. Your expertise will contribute to the development of new features and platforms while ensuring the seamless release of software into production and the field. Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute software test plans, resolving inconsistencies and issues.
• Collaborate with the APP development team and interface with software developers.
• Conduct and record tests to ensure compliance with software specifications.
• Assist the production team and support software releases as necessary.
• Plan software development and regression test times and provide feedback.
• Support compliance requirements and liaise with third-party test houses.
• Provide technical support and training to sales teams on current and new products in the streaming range.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of audio or software test experience.
• Python scripting and test automation experience desirable.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft and Windows applications.
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems.

Location: Office in Salisbury (3 days a week in the office)

Salary range: £30k – £40k
