Band 8A NHS Automation Tester

Lead Test Engineer

Rate: £250 per day (Inside IR35)

Contract: 6-Month Rolling Contract

Location: Mainly Remote (Occasional travel to Cardiff, Possibly 1-2 days per month)

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Test Engineer to join a dynamic team. This role focuses on automation and integration testing, ensuring the successful delivery of major digital products and services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in testing tools, Agile environments, and mentoring teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement test automation strategies, ensuring robust integration testing.
• Apply significant experience in tester roles using Specflow and Selenium, with proficiency in C#, HTML, and CSS.
• Perform analysis, testing, and product management of digital systems.
• Deliver and support major digital products and services.
• Translate business/functional requirements into specialist technical specifications.
• Coach and mentor Agile and multi-disciplinary teams in testing best practices.
• Ensure high-quality testing standards and track record of successful test execution.
• Work effectively in an Agile environment, contributing to team efficiency and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in automation and integration testing.
• Strong background in Specflow, Selenium, and C#.
• Expertise in testing digital products and services.
• Ability to translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
• Experience coaching and mentoring teams in Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
