QA Manager (performance testing) – Retail/E-Commerce – Leeds

Day rate: £500 – £700 (inside IR35)

Duration: 6 months

Hybrid: 2-3 days per week in Leeds

My new retail client is looking for a QA Manager with performance testing and retail experience. You will be required to be on site 2 – 3 times per week in Leeds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with executive and senior leadership to define quality assurance strategies and objectives.
• Lead and mentor a team of QA professionals to ensure efficient and effective quality assurance practices.
• Develop and implement comprehensive QA plans, strategies, and methodologies.
• Oversee the creation and execution of automated test scripts, ensuring coverage of critical business scenarios.
• Manage and coordinate testing activities across multiple vendors and parties.
• Ensure timely and thorough defect identification, tracking, and resolution.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Provide regular quality reports to senior leadership, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence within the program.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a Senior QA Manager in a large-scale program environment.
• Strong background in test automation and familiarity with industry-standard automation tools.
• Exceptional client handling and communication skills.
• Experience with complex multi-vendor/multi-party landscapes.
• Retail industry experience is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Relevant certifications in QA or project management (e.g., ISTQB, PMP) is a plus.
