Job Title: Test Manager (Utilities Sector)

Location: Reading, Berkshire (Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite)

Rate: £390 per day

Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension)

Start Date: ASAP

Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Test Manager to take on a key role in a high-profile project within the utilities sector. You will be responsible for developing and managing the testing strategy, ensuring high-quality standards across the project, and leading a team to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a comprehensive testing strategy in alignment with project objectives.
• Lead and manage a team of testers, providing direction, coaching, and feedback.
• Oversee the testing lifecycle, including test planning, execution, and reporting.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, business analysts, and project managers.
• Manage test plans, track defects, and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Identify testing risks and explore opportunities for test automation.
• Provide regular metrics and reports on testing progress and quality.

Essential Skills:

• Strong experience with AGILE methodology.
• Proven background in Test Management on large-scale projects.
• Basic experience with test automation.

Desirable Skills:

• Utilities/Energy sector experience.
• Knowledge of JIRA.
• Familiarity with JAVA and Selenium is a plus.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 9-10 years of experience in testing and test management.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot testing challenges and ensure high-quality standards.
