UAT Test Engineer – UAT, QA, Agile, TDD, Test Scripts, Test Plans, BDD, web and mobile apps – London – £45,000 – £50,000
My client is looking to hire a talent UAT Test Engineer to scale the user acceptance testing of their product as we refine their product-market fit and scale the business internationally over the next 3 to 4 years. You’ll be reporting to the Senior Manager UAT and will be working very closely with the product management, UX/UI design and development teams.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- They are looking for a UAT Test Engineer who is not only technical but also capable of keeping a customer first approach at all times.
- Work closely with product owners and developers to understand user stories and requirements. Define and document acceptance criteria, test scripts and tools
- Ensure that there is a repository of test scripts and tools that are cross referenced to business rules and user stories
- Manage and prioritize defects through resolution and assist developers in the identification and resolution of defects; monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes; compile all test outcomes in an organized manner
- Report UAT progress, status, risks, and issues to the Product Owner, Scrum Master and other stakeholders
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following knowledge, skills and attributes:
Essential:
- Min 3 years’ experience in QA, Acceptance Testing
- Solid understanding of test methodologies and tools in agile development process
- Can demonstrate a track record of defining and implementing test plans, test scripts and tools in an agile development process
- Hands-on test experience with web and mobile app products
- Experience in UAT testing an agile software development process and able to demonstrate a solid understanding of agile processes
- Demonstrate a working understanding of BDD test implementation
- Logical thinker with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced agile environment
- Good technical knowledge, including the ability to talk with product owners and developers to understand user stories and requirements, define acceptance criteria and test scripts
Desirable:
- Agile qualifications to demonstrate a deep understanding of agile practice and principles
- Previous software development qualifications or experience
- Create executable specification scenarios written in Gherkin syntax
- Experience testing API’s using tools such as Postman
- Experience working with IoT products
