Egypt – Country Manager

A well established, international online business is looking for a Managing Director to lead their Egypt operation, based out of Cairo. This role holds full P&L responsibiliy, the Managing Director will be a key contributor to the commercial strategy for the country.

We’re looking for someone who has proven experience scaling small to medium company to an impressive multi-functional business with a high performing team. Someone who has a long term vision, to learn and grow a business, take it to the next step.

Key responsibilities:

– Ensure the P&L and KPIs (which are to be agreed by the MD and the board) are achieved

– Constructing a solid business model to maximise the local market potential

– Onboard and grow major customer and revenue growth

– Set realistic yet ambitious budget with the board in order to deliver a business plan that covers all aspects of the local operation

– Creating and executing a sales strategy to drive expansion

– Motivate the local team and materially grow the headcount within a year

– Identify new and innovative ways to drive and improve traffic

The Managing Director requirements:

– Must have experience managing teams of 70+ including senior management within an online/digital business

– Proven track record providing growth in Egypt or across the MENA region

– Excellent networking skills with a proven ability to develop long-lasting relationships

– Undertsands and experienced in budget setting and creating detailled business plans that work

– Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive sales and influence sales teams
