Gary Rutland, Staff Engineer, SRE at Kobalt
STS – Long term relationships with short term tokens
Gary will explain Kobalt’s approach on managing temporary tokens in longer living Docker containers, and using the Docker sidecar pattern to dynamically refresh credentials and maintain connections with AWS.
Stu Hirst, Principal Cloud Security Engineer at Just Eat
Hi DevOps, I’m security, I love you – will you marry me?
For a generation, Security and Development have been separate entities, butting heads, and generally having a rather fraught relationship. Why? What does this brave new world look like when Security and DevOps are as one?
Stu will explain some of his experiences marrying Security with DevOps across a number of leading organisations and his thoughts for what lies ahead.
James McLeod, Director of Community at FINOS
The benefits of the Open Developer Platform
The Open Developer Platform is a fully hosted developer platform offered to all FINOS software contributors, and is composed of communication and software development tools across three tiers:
- Collaboration Services that support the communication across program participants and the Open Source community at large.
- Development Infrastructure, that provides tools for communicating, developing, building, analysing, and publishing high-quality Open Source Software.
- Hosted Platforms that provide access to Open API/Data endpoints and that can be leveraged for development and testing purposes.
James’s talk will focus on the combined platforms and benefits of ODP and how FINOS is delivering a system that allows Financials Services to join global Open Source delivery.
