Job Title: Accountant

Purpose: Support the organization with accurate financial information, sound decision-making, and compliance.

Requirements:

• B.Comm or equivalent
• 3-5years of financial accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Basic knowledge of NetSuite Oracle
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting, Reporting, Budgeting, and Forecasts:

• Timely preparation of accounting and management reports
• Analyze purchase ledger and cash book, ensuring meticulous management
• Collaborate on accurate budgets and forecasts, supporting effective resource allocation
• Perform year-end closing functions, including statutory and tax reporting
• Liaise with banks for financial transactions, reconciliation, and smooth banking operations
• Develop and present monthly and quarterly financial reports

Asset and Investment Management:

• Assist in analyzing the performance of investments

Audit & Tax:

• Execute audit procedures, supporting management in oversight responsibilities
• Ensure timely submission of VAT, EMP, and IT returns, along with compliance-related payments

Financial Governance:

• Develop and implement accounting policies, ensuring compliance and accurate application
• Identify and promptly address issues of non-compliance, ensuring adherence to established procedures and regulatory requirements

Risk/Relationship Management:

• Manage banking relationships, facilitating financial transactions and ensuring compliance
• Oversee insurance relationships, strategy, and policies
• Ensure adherence to relevant financial/regulatory rules & regulations
• Oversight of company group structure and incorporation/companies house compliance

People Management:

• Foster teamwork, support professional development, and promote effective communication
• Ensure compliance with HR policies within the finance function
• Liaise with manager regarding reporting requirements, managing expectations appropriately

System Management:

• Possess a detailed understanding of NetSuite, Cobase, etc., functionalities, and requirements
• Manage Cobase dashboard for accurate data, financial reporting, compliance, and user support
• Continuously scope reporting and software requirements, ensuring the finance team can meet evolving demands
