Overview:
A leading global music and entertainment company is seeking a dynamic Marketing Manager to join their team in Johannesburg. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to develop and execute innovative marketing strategies for a diverse roster of artists across digital, physical, and social media platforms. Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital and social media channels, ensuring maximum audience engagement and reach for artist releases
Lead data-driven marketing strategies using analytics from streaming platforms and social media to optimize campaign performance and expand artist fan bases
Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including artist managers, digital service providers, and media partners to ensure aligned campaign objectives
Create and implement comprehensive publicity and communication strategies, including press kit development, media relations, and interview coordination
Oversee content marketing initiatives, CRM growth strategies, and digital partnership opportunities while maintaining editorial calendars across online properties
Direct and mentor marketing team members while managing campaign budgets and project timelines effectively
Collaborate with partner management teams to develop and execute playlisting strategies and maintain relationships with digital service providers
Monitor industry trends and incorporate innovative marketing approaches to enhance campaign effectiveness
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, with specific focus on digital and social media marketing
Proven track record in developing and executing end-to-end marketing campaigns for music artists
Experience with online advertising and media buying (Facebook advertising, AdWords, etc.)
Understanding of music release lifecycles, digital distribution, and metadata
Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously
Passion for music and entertainment industry trends
