Senior .Net Developer

My client seeks a skilled Senior Developer for a remote role, open to candidates in South Africa and internationally, reporting to the Chief Technology Officer or Senior Developer.

Main Purpose

Implement designs from the CTO/Senior Developer, test against requirements, and manage database and application changes.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain PCI-compliant codebase and stay updated with PCI training.
• Follow SDLC, update internal tracking for features, bugs, and changes.
• Collaborate on resolving features and bugs.
• Develop and document new features with a forward-thinking approach.
• Diagnose and resolve bugs, assisting Business and Support teams.
• Evaluate and optimize software for efficiency.
• Assist with deployment and release into DEV, QA, and PROD.

Key Skills and Experience

Required

• Extensive experience with .NET Framework, .NET Core, C#, and MSSQL.

Highly Desirable

• Experience with MVC, Bootstrap, CSS, JavaScript.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Python, Java, or PostgreSQL (if above requirements are met).
• Payments industry experience (training provided).

Qualifications and Experience

• 4-year IT-related degree or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of payment technology and EMV (e.g., ADVT, MTIP, AEXP) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Windows, Apple, Linux desktops, and basic networking.
• Advanced programming (.NET, Java) and database (MSSQL, PostgreSQL) skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
