Job Title: Supply Chain Specialist – Imports & Warehouse Systems (12-Month Renewable Contract)

Location: Cape Town, South Africa

Job Overview: Our retail client in Cape Town is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Specialist to lead and manage the setup and execution of a direct food importation project. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supply chain management within the retail sector, with a strong understanding of import processes from Europe and other international markets. Additionally, knowledge of warehouse systems will be highly advantageous as we seek to implement a system solution moving forward.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the setup and management of direct food importation processes.
• Develop and optimize import processes from Europe and other countries.
• Work closely with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient import operations.
• Evaluate and implement warehouse system solutions to support the importation project.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align import processes with overall business objectives.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience in supply chain management, specifically within the retail industry.
• In-depth knowledge of import processes and regulations, particularly from Europe.
• Experience with warehouse systems and their implementation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive projects to successful completion.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Contract Details:

• 12-month renewable contract.
• 4 days on-site, Cape Town CBD.
