Senior Packaging Designer – FMCG & Consumer Global Brands

Hybrid – London

We are partnered with a top branding and packaging agency in London who are looking for an experienced Senior Packaging Designer to join their consumer team. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio of work in FMCG and consumer global brands, and a good understanding of developing large range and design systems. The role requires someone who can think holistically about the consumer experience, developing innovative and creative solutions that can translate beyond packaging into brand worlds, digital and motion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead packaging design projects from concept to final artwork, ensuring that they are on-brand, innovative, and meet the client’s needs
• Develop portfolio architecture and design systems for large ranges of products
• Collaborate with the consumer team and other departments to create cohesive brand experiences across all touchpoints
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers on the team
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, and use this knowledge to inform design decisions
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail
• Work with production teams to ensure that designs are properly executed and produced to the highest standards

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in packaging design for FMCG and consumer global brands
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design systems, packaging solutions, and consumer experiences
• Excellent understanding of design principles and typography
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
• Knowledge of digital and motion design is a plus
• Ability to lead a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design or a related field is preferred
