Payroll Manager

Our client is offers integrated service solutions across a broad spectrum of clients & have great projects. This role is newly created now based in Australia due to major growth.

A newly established position will be based in Melbourne CBD with state-of-the-art offices, we are now looking for a passionate and self-driven Payroll Manager to join our vibrant team to deliver high quality services. Reporting to the Payroll Director APAC Manager, you will have high levels of attention to detail and ensure payroll is processed accurately and timely. This is a standalone Full-Time position in Australia where you will be looking after 200 employees and growing in 2023.

Responsibilities include but not limited to: –

· Manage end to end payroll process for Australian Contractors and Staff

· Own payroll processes, including timely and accurate payroll processing for all employees. Establish and maintain robust protocols.

· Process out of cycle payments as required

· Payroll journals & Reporting – weekly, monthly, annual, adhoc as required

· Staff terminations – calculate and process accurately

· Submit STP files via portal

· Superannuation – calculate, reconcile, payments to Superannuation Clearing House

· Payroll Tax reporting

· Individual Payment summaries – reconcile and finalise at end of financial year

· Liaise with Finance teams as needed to ensure payroll is allocated to the appropriate cost centres etc.

· Manage and resolve all payroll related queries from Contractors, Staff and Managers in a timely manner

· Correspondence with external parties as required – e.g. Salary packaging, Salary Sacrifice, etc.

· Assist with project works as required

To be successful you will have:

· Minimum 5 years’ experience calculating and processing payroll (working with large casual employees, fixed term contracts and experience and Interstate payroll processing would be an advantage)

· Demonstrated experience with payroll software and MS Office (advanced Excel)

· Understanding of Modern Awards and other state and industry legislation, and experience with award interpretation

· Understanding knowledge of Payroll tax and WorkCover legislation

· Experience dealing with ATO, Superannuation Clearing Houses

· Ability to work autonomously and as part of the broader Team

· Honesty, discretion and confidentiality

· High attention to detail and accuracy & commitment to high quality service

· The ability to multi-task & deliver on competing priorities

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills – ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders
