Senior Capability and Process Lead – 6-Month Contract (Melbourne, Hybrid)

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Capability and Process Lead for a 6-month contract opportunity based in Melbourne (Hybrid). As part of our client’s Digital program, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in decomposing our business capability model into discrete layers, defining detailed processes, and documenting the Digital Operating model. This effort will pave the way for a subsequent maturity uplift initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the definition and documentation of business capability models and processes.
• Conduct discovery and design workshops with key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define RASCI matrices.
• Utilise expertise to contribute to capability and process documentation.
• Drive maturity uplift efforts post initial documentation.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in defining and documenting business capability models and processes.
• Superlative presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, from C-suite to individual team members.
• Experience in executing discovery and design workshops with key stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL, Waterfall (PMBOK), and Agile methods.
• Previous experience in IT Service Management or Program Management Office functions.
• Consulting background, especially in capability and model uplifting projects.

Preferred Skills:

• Service management experience with a focus on service delivery, principal consulting, and improvement initiatives.
• Proven track record in project and program management, including roadmap development and strategic planning.
• Expertise in eliciting information from stakeholders and creating comprehensive roadmaps.
• Familiarity with business continuity, risk management, and governance.
• Background in energy or related industries is a bonus.
