The Company

Salt has teamed up with a Global SaaS organisation based in Melbourne who is currently seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to join one of their teams on a permanent basis.

Our client is currently going through an exciting period of growth and are in the process of building out a new hub as they look to revolutionise the Energy sector by building sustainable and affordable solutions, helping to reduce carbon emissions.

The Role

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will:

• Help to build a cross-functional Engineering team from scratch
• Be responsible for team uplift and training
• Promote best practices and development principles within the team
• Work closely with Client Stakeholders, Solutions Architects and the Product team in order to understand their business requirements
• Play an integral role in throughout the discovery phase, technical discussions and workshops
• Provide technical advice and expertise, whilst overseeing the development of solutions
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Key Skills and Competencies

The successful Senior Engineering Manager should have the following skill set:

• Commercial experience working as an Engineering Manager
• Experience in developing technical roapmaps & strategies
• Strong technical background in Software Engineering and experienced with various Programming languages including Cloud
• Client facing with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Previous experience working within a SaaS environment or with Utilities/Energy organisations
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
