Electronic Design Engineer – Up to £45,000

As an Electronic Design Engineer, you will be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology. Your main responsibilities will include:

Digital Design:

• DSP
• DAC
• ADC
• FPGA
• ARM
• Digital IO
• High-Speed Digital Design

Analogue Design:

• Power supply design (Linear and Switch mode)
• Amplifiers
• Filtering stages
• Circuit simulation

Software Design:

• Matlab coding
• VHDL coding

ECAD Design:

• Schematic Design
• Digital PCB Design
• Analogue PCB Design
• Power PCB Design
• FPC Design
• PCB Interconnection Design
• System Integration
• Part Creation

You will work closely with subject matter experts in areas such as RF Design, FFC Design, FPGA Design, PCB Fabrication, and Test Equipment. Collaboration is key to our success.

In addition, you will be responsible for:

• Designing to global safety and EMC standards
• Hardware test and verification
• Design validation
• Technology feasibility
• Listening tests and approvals
• PCB and Circuit testing in the lab
• Prototyping, including liaising with PCB manufacturers and sourcing standard and custom samples

But your role doesn’t stop at technical expertise. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining procedures to enhance departmental efficiency and quality. Regular attendance at various meetings, including project progress meetings and engineering reviews, is essential.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Design verification and testing
• Design reviews
• Writing VHDL development code
• Product level reviews
• Meeting project deadlines and milestones
• Project definition, including identifying feasibility tasks and deliverables
