Product Designer – Insurtech – Up to £60,000

My client are a fast growing Insurance Technology start up, employing technology solutions to solve the challenges of the commercial insurance industry. They are looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer to join the team. Reporting to the Head of Product you will be responsible for helping shape the future look and feel of their product!

My client are looking for someone with experience in both UI and UX, to help produce high-fidelity prototypes for sales opportunities and work with the development team; working with both internal and external stakeholders to understand and help resolve the challenges their users face. You will be used to working in an agile environment, working primarily with Product and Engineering teams, and Client Success team.

Key responsibilities:

• Owning the UX development for the product, supporting development of the browser-based platform
• Working with the Client Success team on high-fidelity concepts and prototypes for sales engagements
• Communicating design ideas and concepts to Product Owners and Developers
• Understand client challenges and user pain points
• Developing wireframes and prototypes to support new concepts
• Understanding the product and the challenges the industry faces

Key skills & experience:

• Experience defining UX and designing UI for a browser-based interface
• Experience creating wireframes and user flows
• Ability to show creative design skills and attractive UIs
• Experience with Figma
• A self-motivated approach to work
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability and willingness to work with B2B clients on solution design
• Experience of working effectively in a small agile team
