Their platform uses advanced technology to better support healthcare organisations to manage their workforce as well as connect them with a large network of thousands of healthcare professionals who can find additional work on flexible terms for locum shifts, often at short notice.

Since The time of their inception, they have been successful in helping the NHS achieve savings of upto £15 million and still counting. They have also enabled over 5 million patients to be seen. As such, the growth plans are extensive, and the foundations are being laid down for the next phase to take shape. They have garnered supportive VC backers and a talented team of passionate people, committed to positively impact the lives of their users.

Their platform has won numerous awards and is gaining global recognition. They have also been featured for attention in major media forums due to the fantastic work they are undertaking on a day to day basis. They are currently looking for a new, end to end, product designer to join the team to help take the service proposition and cross functional platform to the next level.

About the role

The opportunity is here for a talented UX/ UI Product Designer to join a start-up with a real sense of drive and strong ethical purpose at this critical juncture in the pursuit of success and enabling to mature the project further. You’ll report directly into our Head of Product Design and work within agile product squads (Developers, Designers and Product Managers) to shape the experience and future of their platform & mobile apps.

You will thrive on taking on new, engaging, yet complex Design Scenarios and providing purpose fit and workable solutions.

You will be responsible for the design from concept all the way to delivery and execution, and every decision you make will have the user at the core.

Responsibilities

· Working in collaboration across a multidisciplinary product team, as well as the wider business, to problem solve healthcare challenges and iterate to the best solution.

· Develop a deep understanding for our users and their needs, through regular research and interview sessions, as well as measuring user engagement of the product.

· Execute the entire design process with a user-centred mindset, validating your ideas from flows and wireframes through to high fidelity prototypes and intuitive interactions, aiming to delight the end user with the experiences you create.

· Help refine and maintain an outstanding design language that reflects the company brand, whilst accounting for user needs and UI best practices.

· Lead design projects, clearly articulating your intentions through your work, as well as motivate the vision through presenting your ideas to stakeholders.

· Research your craft to stay top of trends and industry learning and circulate findings back into your work to push design boundaries and inspire the team.

Requirements

My client are looking for someone with the following attributes:

· An impressive portfolio of product work or self-initiated projects

· UX driven, with a strong aptitude in user interface and interaction design

· Strong communication and written skills, with any previous UX writing a plus

· 3-5 years’ experience, preferably in a start-up or in healthcare, using agile practices

· Experience conducting user research and usability testing sessions

· Proficiency with Sketch and prototyping software, preferably Marvel

· Able to provide constructive feedback, yet open to being challenged

· Comfortable being the voice of design to senior stakeholders

· Enjoy working as part of a team, but equally self-motivated and autonomous

· Keen to guide, but equally open to learn from fellow colleagues

· Process and method driven, to optimise design processes aligned to the business

· Detail-oriented; pixel-perfection is important to you

· Curious, you like to experiment and embrace change

· Resourceful and take initiative, you optimistically think around corners

· Care a lot about your users, measuring engagement to iterate on your designs

· Passionate about the Company mission and the impact design can have in healthcare
