Senior / Lead UX Designer – Experience Agency – Up to £90,000

The Company

My client are a renowned Experience Agency at the forefront of a range of cutting edge projects including, but not limited to, Artificial Intelligence, Web 3 and Machine Learning. Within the company, a UX Designer is a knowledgeable and passionate advocate of user-centred design. They are highly collaborative and have proven experience in the design of customer experiences across multiple platforms such as web, mobile, tablet and desktop applications.

The Role

UX Designers of all levels work on both internal and external projects spanning the entire design process from initial understanding and exploration (Discovery), to creating strategic research output such as personas (Define), to concept generation and design detailing (Design), and then onto providing support during build (Develop).

With an analytical and creative mind they are responsible for translating the intangible into the tangible. They are able to tackle complex problems and bring clarity, order and understanding to a confusion of requirements through requirements gathering, user research, scenarios, personas, sketches, models, site maps, user journeys, process flows, wireframes, prototypes and other relevant UX outputs.

UX Designers bring balance to business requirements and user needs and they resolve to deliver elegant products to the hands of end users and customers. They illustrate a drive towards simplifying involved design challenges and are expected to be bright, creative and intelligent in their approach, provide sound rationale to the solutions and be generous in their collaboration with others. A successful UX Designer must at all times demonstrate a professional demeanour, with strong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills. They must be committed to the development of our practice and engage with both internal and external audiences in debate around relevant industry issue

Responsibilities (Senior)

• Understand the overall plan, specifically user experience related task details, purpose and interdependencies
• Be accountable for the delivery of those tasks within the time and budget allocated, while assuring quality
• Recognise the need for corrective action as issues arise in projects and know what to do to resolve them
• Work with the Project Manager and other project leads to ensure safe delivery of all user experience related deliverables
• Conduct requirements gathering, ideation and collaborative workshops as required
• Typify commitment to a user-centred process, quality and continuous improvement
• Lead, brief and oversee work quality of more junior team members
• Assist with project planning/estimation of UX related tasks
• Assist with risk/issue management and resolution
• Provide open and timely communication with stakeholders
• Talk / write externally about our practice

• Manage and oversee the career development of others
• Develop/manage client relationships
• Organise business development responses with input from senior colleagues
• Play an active role in succession planning and management, helping to grow colleagues to your level from the level below
