Senior Product Designer – Fintech Start Up – £85,000

My client’s secure and controlled deal architecture helps investors and advisors mitigate risks, turn chaos into order, and drive efficiencies!

My client are currently growing out their design team and looking for a talented, end to end Product Designer to work with the Head of Design spearheading a range of new projects and products! – Your will be working within an empowered, cross-disciplinary squad, driving direction and purpose alongside a product manager and engineering manager.

You will work on the product design from beginning to end and play a part in the whole process, from research through ideation, iteration, testing, and refinement. You will be able to conduct research with the understanding that you may often be proven wrong, with the aim of continually growing your capacity for empathy with the end users.

You are able to build prorotypes to test your assumptions and ensure that the products are optimised to provide real value to our customers from day one. You push the companies visual language and improve the design system to ensure a consistent and beautiful branded experience across all products.

Who you are:

• You have experience with the full lifecycle of web-based products, from ideation to delivery.
• You are proficient in using Figma for both designing and prototyping.
• You enjoy working with loose processes on ambiguous and complex problems.
• You are able to justify and articulate your design decisions, striving to do so in a clear and simple manner that others can understand.
• You understand and accept that the creative process can be messy and unpredictable, making iteration and experimentation an integral part of your practice.
• You know when to advocate for quality and when to be pragmatic to ensure projects are completed on time and put into the hands of customers.
• You are a self-starter and comfortable working with little more than high-level guidance.
• You check your ego at the door and are always keen to incorporate ideas from across the organisation to design products that everyone can be proud of.
• You have a growth mindset and understand that growth requires some failure.
• You actively seek feedback on both your work and your style.
• You value an open design culture and can advocate for it with your team and the wider business.
• You have a portfolio that includes both UX and UI work.
• You are ready to show some of it to our team and explain your thought process in more depth
