Senior UI / Product Designer – eCommerce – Up to £80,000

The Role:

We are looking for a passionate Senior UI / Product Designer with advanced UI skills and an interest in UX to join our growing Product team. You must know how to work in an agile environment, taking lead from our Product Owners. You must be enthusiastic about building outstanding experiences and think deeply about the customer, user experience and visual design, as well as find solutions that allow customers to intuitively use our products.

The ideal candidate will be skilled at each stage of the design process but always focused on the needs of the customer. You will work with other designers and cross-functional team members and will rely heavily on both qualitative and quantitative data and take briefs from Product Owners to make informed strategic decisions. This role will involve managing and developing our Junior Product Designer, whilst actively inputting into the design standards expected.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Product Owners, stakeholders and Developers at every stage of the process to shape the future of digital products.
• Produce elegant responsive UI Designs for customer-facing mobile and web experiences
• Quickly and iteratively create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, low and high-fidelity mock-ups
• Leading and implementing using your UX skills and knowledge of UX standard methodologies.
• Conduct user research through qualitative and quantitative methods to inform and validate solutions
• Drive and encourage big ideas and innovative design
• Ensure our multi-brand design system and all its parts are both beautifully crafted and well-maintained
• Illustrate your thinking and communicate ideas to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
• Perform and lead others with strong visual design skills and technical knowledge of implementing and feeding into design systems.

Relevant Skills and Experience

• Worked in a PO led agile environment
• Creativity underpinned with knowledge of best practice in design
• Outstanding UI and UX design expertise
• Be a brand guardian, ensuring the work aligns to brand guidelines and be able to evolve brand identities
• Strong proficiency with the latest tools and software such as, Figma, Sketch, Adobe creative suite and prototyping tools
• Experience building design systems, or have plenty of practice working with them
• Exceptionally skilled at image curation, visual storytelling, typography, layout, form and colour
• A strong UI and UX portfolio that showcases your experience working on end-to-end web and mobile projects.
• Ability to empathise with customers and understand their needs and pain points
• Be a natural collaborator with diverse teams in a multi-faceted, rapid-growth environment
