My client partners with organizations to simplify their cybersecurity landscape by reducing noise and complexity. We’re on the lookout for an experienced professional to join our user experience team and design innovative tools and automation solutions to support our analysts and clients better.

My client houses a world-class team of analysts and security experts who monitor threats to our clients and collaborate with them to manage risks. With evolving cybersecurity challenges, we’re constantly in need of new solutions, which is why we’ve developed a product to solve this. The product is our comprehensive platform that consolidates all the data and tools necessary to detect, investigate, and respond to incidents in one place. Our commitment to making security a reality underscores the critical importance of user experience in solving long-standing cybersecurity issues.

The Role:

As a UX / Product Designer, you’ll lead the design of essential product capabilities, enhance our Figma design system, and develop new solutions from concept to release in close partnership with our product managers, developers, and cybersecurity experts. Your role involves researching and validating end-user needs, conducting user interviews, running usability tests, documenting research, and sharing findings to benefit our product team. You’ll craft end-to-end experiences, designing flows, prototypes, and visuals for developers, analysts, and customers. Collaboration is key, as you’ll work closely with fellow designers, participate in discussions, and contribute to idea generation. You’ll be empowered to drive your work, as we value autonomy and personal responsibility within our small design team.

If you have at least one year of design experience, you may already possess the skill set required. (For those with less experience, we’re open to conversations with motivated individuals who are enthusiastic about design and can showcase their work.)

Our Toolset:

• Figma for UI designs: Our design system resides in Figma, ensuring alignment with the development team’s component library. Developers reference our Figma designs for spacing, colors, and other UI specifications.
• ProtoPie for highly interactive prototypes: While Figma prototypes often suffice, complex interactions sometimes call for specific designs. We use ProtoPie for prototyping interactions like keyboard shortcuts, form completion, and drag-and-drop behavior.
• Dovetail for research documentation: User research is paramount in our work
• Dovetail enables us to gather, document, and share findings across the organization.
• Miro for whiteboarding: We continuously seek new ways to collaborate and engage our teams, and Miro facilitates collaborative work in a shared space, even in remote settings.
