Visual Merchandiser

CONTRACT – VISUAL MERCHANDISER – 6 MONTHS

Asap start for 6 months

Hybrid working, in their London office (2 days in studio)

This role comprises of the following responsibilities:

Promotions: Design of promotional sites within brand guidelines and project-manage their installation. Ensure that they are built within budget and to the brand’s design and quality standards.

Merchandising guidelines: Produce accurate planograms, in liaison with the Senior VM Designer and the Marketing Manager, and ensure that they are communicated to the field teams within the required time frame.

Communication bands: Ensure the pro-active, timely and efficient production, and distribution of communication bands.

Transparencies / prints: Ensure the timely and efficient ordering, cropping authorisation and distribution of transparencies as part of rollouts or specific print orders within the required frame and according to the exact brand’s specific guidelines. Ensure that the lightbox database is always updated.

Liaison with internal teams: Communicate and coordinate with all relevant internal teams (Store Design, Marketing, and Field teams, ensuring the timely visibility of project information.

Collateral orders: Working with external vendors, develop custom TR elements, request quotes and prototypes, and raise relevant POs. Provide suppliers with clear design briefs, materials and brand guidelines. Ensure excellent follow-up on projects before and after production is complete.

Open Sell / Access hardware systems: Support the Senior VM designer with orders of update locators and merchandising components, to ensure the timely and pro-active delivery of open sell hardware.

In-Store merchandising: Support the VM/ SD team and the field teams with in-store merchandising of new installations, top doors and VIP visits. Ensure the stores are updated with the latest VM direction and guidelines. Maintain consistently high visual standards throughout all environments.

Merchandising workshops: Attend and present the latest guidelines at the merchandising workshops and training sessions.

This role reports to the Visual Merchandising Manager.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should understand the technicalities of Visual Merchandising. Should be creative with a design or visual merchandising background preferably in the retail industry.

Good knowledge of design programs including: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop. Knowledge of VectorWorks and 3D design programs such as Cinema4D is a plus.

She/he should have excellent interpersonal, organisation and prioritisation skills, and enjoy a flexible, team environment working to deadlines.

She / he will have the ability to use initiative and be proactive and willing to adapt and take on new challenges.
