Senior Director, Product Engineering

Salt have been exclusively retained by one of the world’s most recognised names in the market and we are excited to announce that we are looking for a Senior Director of Product Engineering to work at their Germany HQ.

In the role of Senior Director Product Engineering, you will be the tech partner for the whole product development business worldwide. This includes build and operations of their core systems for Product Creation (Design to Development), focused on Product Lifecycle Management, Material Management, Product Testing and Costing. In this role you will motivate and develop a large team of engineers, consultants and experts in the field of software development.

What will you be doing?

• Leading the complete portfolio of product development tech investments
• Ensure that state of the art technology and best practices for agile software development and solutions are applied and constantly improved.
• Implement a future foolproof and flexible solution architecture, in collaboration with domain architecture
• Maintain an exceptional level of team engagement and commitment towards technology excellence and business results
• Develop and recruit a highly skilled technology team

What we are looking for?

• 15+ years in IT & software engineering
• 10+ years in software engineering leadership positions
• Experience in managing large scale teams (100+ staff)
• You have led and delivered large scale agile projects
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Experience in a fashion or online retailer would be a bonus
• University degree in business or Computer Science
