Head of Post Production

Greater London Permanent £55000.00 - £60000.00 per annum

We are working with an inspiring Content Agency who are looking to take their Post production department to the next level.

This role will alongside the Senior Management Team working with clients from conception to delivery of high-quality content, ensuring projects stay on time and on budget.

The role.

  • Work closely with the creative, production, and client servicing teams to understand

project requirements, timelines, and client expectations.

  • Lead and manage the post-production team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support

to ensure high-quality work output.

  • Supervise all aspects of the post-production process, including editing, colour grading,

sound design, visual effects, and final delivery.

  • Develop and implement production and operational processes, including the use of project

management tools to optimise productivity.

  • Oversee the management of project files, servers, and archiving
  • Manage the existing production team, recruit, and grow both the inhouse team and pool of

talented freelancers

  • Leverage the team’s creative output to maximise the impact of our content and campaigns
  • Work with the senior leadership team on the development and rollout of new services
  • Help to shape and develop the company as we grow into new segments and territories.
  • Inspire and develop members of the team, pushing creativity and innovation.
  • Fully understand new trends and be able to communicate this to both teams and clients.

Integrate new software

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, techniques, and technologies in post-production and implement innovative practices where applicable.
  • Manage the post-production budget, making informed decisions to maximise resources
  • and optimise project outcomes.
  • Oversee the maintenance and organisation of post-production equipment, software, and

assets to ensure smooth operations.

  • Collaborate with external vendors and freelancers, as needed, to augment the in-house

post-production team.

  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages creativity, growth,
  • and teamwork among the post-production team members.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify
  • opportunities for skill development and training within the entire PP team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (minimum 6 years) in post-production roles, with a track record of

successfully delivering high-quality content across various media formats.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of

post-production professionals.

  • Expertise in industry-standard post-production software, such as Adobe Creative Suite

(Premiere Pro, After Effects), DaVinci Resolve, Avid, etc.

  • In-depth knowledge of post-production processes, including editing techniques, color

grading, sound design, visual effects, and final delivery.

  • Excellent understanding of various media formats, resolutions, codecs, and compression

standards.

  • Knowledge of legal matters – Health & Safety, Data Protection, insurance, contributor location agreements
