Title : Freelance mid-weight/ senior UX Researcher

Start : Monday 19th February

Length : The initial engagement is very likely to be 6 months, intending to extend.

Day rate : £350 per day

IR35 : Outside IR35

Client : Creative consultancy

Location : Clerkenwell

Remote : Virtually yes, with maybe 1 meet a month in their lovely Second Home work-spaces

  • The client is a US-based global health-care business manufacturing medical devices for use by medical specialists.

Job description

Advertising agency experience is a must for this role.

They are looking for an experienced UX researcher with an optional (but not required) background in the medical device industry. The successful candidate will lead user research initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and leverage their expertise to inform the design and development of digital products within the medical device field.
Improving health-care through human-centered design and possesses an understanding of the unique challenges and regulations within the medical device space.

Lead User Research Initiatives:

  • Conduct end-to-end user research, including planning, recruitment, moderation, analysis, and reporting.

Usability Testing:

  • Design and conduct usability testing sessions to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of digital products.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure that user research practices align with medical device regulatory requirements and contribute to the development of human factors documentation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, product managers, and regulatory affairs.

Education:

  • Ideally bachelor’s or advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field. (let me know if you don’t have this, I realise this is very specific so don’t worry)

Experience:

  • Proven track record of leading successful user research initiatives that have directly impacted product design.
