Frontend Developer – WordPress, PHP, HTML, UX

MID-WEIGHT WEB DEVELOPER / FRONT END DEVELOPER

My client is looking for an outstanding front end WordPress PHP developer who can make a positive impact, to join a small, highly skilled Central London Design agency. What really excites you is problem-solving and the opportunity to deliver innovative technology that carries real value for users.

This position is WordPress focused, so experience developing for WordPress including full customisation and creation of bespoke WordPress sites is a must.

We have a lot of retained clients who are looking to get the most from their digital presence, so we’re on the lookout for a person who can contribute with great ideas on a functional, creative as well as technical level. We want you to ring ideas to the team – not just technical, but creative solutions, particularly with Social Media, and web content ideas

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designing and developing WordPress CMS
• Designing and implementing new features and functionality
• Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture
• Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
• Preparing and crafting a design plan
• Working on user experience optimization
• Working on performance, speed & server optimization

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience in coding (CSS, HTML, PHP & JavaScript)
• Extensive knowledge of WordPress CMS, Plugins
• Knowledge of MySQL, CPanel & API integration
• Extensive knowledge of Adobe CC Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator
• Strong understanding of UX & visual design
• Strong creative skills
• Creative thinking – Love to solve problems
• Attention to detail
• Good problem-solving skills and a logical approach to work
• The ability to explain technical matters clearly – good presentation skills in front of clients
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Passionate about learning new things
• Ability to work on your own and in a team
• Code HTML emails

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

• Extensive experience to produce WordPress custom functionality/plugins
• Developing new features and custom web applications
• Have experience in SEO and website optimisation
• Extensive experience in coding (CSS, HTML, PHP & JavaScript)
