Senior User Researcher – Green Home Energy

As a UX Researcher at this disruptor in the Home Energy marketplace, you will help shape what products and features the team create, using data, research and case studies to tell consumer stories and highlight pain points in their journey.

About you:

* Experience in research operations or research recruiting

* Experience in both qualitative as well as quantitative studies

* Excellent knowledge of user research methodologies and user research tools

* You have worked directly in an Agile environment with a cross functional team

* Able to demonstrable knowledge, experience and passion for user centred design practices for digital product

* You are a self-starter who has great time management skills and can work through ambiguity and autonomously complete a task from start to finish with minimal oversight

* You have excellent oral, written, and visual communication skills. Comfortable presenting and standing up for your ideas and insights in front of diverse audiences and senior stakeholder

* Interested in challenging the status quo, experimenting with new and innovative ways to serve the consumer

* A firm understanding that UX Research can be used to guide the creation of new products and features as well as validate them

* Comfortable working hand in glove with Product to build out a well-rounded understanding of the consumer base

* Experience producing clear insights from complex user research.

What you will be doing:

* You will be responsible for planning, designing, preparing and running user research activities to support design, development and continuous improvement of our products and services for our Commercial department

* You’ll be able to quickly map process and customer journeys harmonising the end to end customer experience with your peers in system design to build a blueprint of our processes but most importantly the story behind the customer experience

* You’ll have some experience with service design and be able to impart a holistic view of pain-points centred around our customer from online to offline across channels and communication services

* You will recommend and use the most appropriate methodologies for generating user insights

* You will identify, evaluate and implement new research methodologies

* You will develop user personas to guide how we develop new and existing products supporting our core services including vulnerability, billing, renewable energy services covering acquisition and retention

* Working closely with product managers, designers and key stakeholders to influence all stages of the product development cycle, and incorporate research findings and feedback into new designs

* Initiating and managing research projects

* Work in synergy with the wider product team to deliver on shared key strategic objectives and ensure the key strategic business goals are met.

* Partner closely with product, operations, sales and new energy services to provide context, support and guidance as we work towards our objectives.

* Using your communications skills, you will present findings and recommendations to your peers and engage senior stakeholders on the insight you’ve developed.
