Location: Hertfordshire / Hybrid

Salary: £45k plus bonus

Working for this unique retail analytics and insights organisation, you will act as the conduit between the internal analysts and various stakeholders, to drive true data led thinking and decision making.

You will also continue to shape and roll out data products and services for their retail and FMCG clients, supporting the drive for sustainability, improved ways of working and training for all those working in the grocery retail industry. You will support company wide data strategies, as well as work with the Senior Leader to empower your internal stakeholders and colleagues to leverage data assets and ways of thinking.

This organisation provides future trends analysis and research, as well as insights into global changes happening within this critical space, in real time! You will have access to vast swathes of retail data received on a daily basis, form major players all over the country.

So your foundation is likely to be in analytics, and perhaps you’re keen to move into a role which is more focused on the application of data, rather than the number crunching…equally, you may be a highly data literate Consultant, looking for something beyond the commercial realms of management consulting.

The projects you will be involved in will be there to help your clients understand what the next 5 years looks like for grocery retail, what are current customer behaviours, buyer sentiment, and how should organisations be looking to engage better and serve those shoppers.

You will work closely with Analysts and Data Scientists to deliver analytics and insights projects, as well as place a lens on the company’s own client base to understand how the organisation can evolve and improve their relationships and services.

You will need to be commercially minded, with an eye for those strategic opportunities to improve revenue through the services on offer. You will deliver many data products across BI reporting, engagement KPIs, customer sentiment and brand perception, supporting innovation and interacting with senior level stakeholders on a regular basis.

Skills and experience required:

* Educated to degree level in a numerate subject such as engineering, mathematics, statistics, chemistry, physics, machine learning, computer science etc

* Strong background in a commercial data or customer insight role

* Skilled in project management and delivery, preferably from a consulting background

* Knowledge of the retail grocery industry, or aptitude to learn

* A passion for data, analytically minded, commercial and numerate

* Familiar with a wide range of business intelligence and analytics tools such as SQL, R, Python, Tableau, Looker, Power BI, Qlik
