Salary: £45k plus bonus & bens
Location: London / Hybrid
This is a very niche role, so we’re trying to find people with transferable skills in modelling and programming in Python, to run simulations to optimize process and influence strategic decisions around the development of future channels. It’s important you have a programming and modelling mindset, supported with technical skills in SQL (to query Snowflake) and Python (C++ and R considered too) and the ability to deliver impactful insights around how to build and optimize future channels for the group. So, perhaps you’ve studied a numerate subject and are keen to diversify your skills in an innovation environment, to support the automation and optimization of modern retail channels – a skill set which is becoming very sought after and valued as the world of retail develops and shifts, supported my machine learning and AI.
All your projects will be centred around ‘final mile’ analytics, supply chain and logistics – so any experience here would be favoured, naturally, as well as lots of optimization experience and a problem-solving approach.
Experience & Skills required
· Educated to degree level in a numerate subject; Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Engineering etc.
· Skilled in leveraging range of analytical tools such as SQL, R or Python to code and build simulation models
· Ideally experience of applying models and analytics in a supply chain and logistics context
· Confident in leading on projects and working with senior level stakeholders to influence and engage
· Solutions focused approach, with an intellectual curious mindset and ambition to add value through your analytical work
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain analytic results and models to a non-technical audience
· Comfortable working in a high growth environment, fast paced activity, ability to prioritise and juggle multiple tasks at any one time
· Resilient mindset, courage, confidence and ambitious nature required!
