Data Engineer

Data Engineer | London | 2 Month rolling

I am currently looking for a Data Engineer with a strong background in Google Cloud Platform to join a client of mine based in London. This is an initial 2 month rolling contract. The key objective for this role is to design and build a scalable infrastructure

Technical Skills / Knowledge:

· Well versed in using GCP

· have experience in building and deploying lightweight applications

· Python, Bash, Javascript, SQL, Git.

Responsibilities

· Finding efficiencies in how data is accessed and processed in order to increase runtimes

· Make sure that the model and optimiser have been deployed and scripted correctly.

· Maintain flexibility in the code so that significantly more users can use it without a drop in performance.

· Design any new features that are on the roadmap for 2H19 and beyond.

· Maintain documentation
