Data & Systems Support Officer (Local Government)

Location: Rugby, UK (Office-based, 8am-4pm)

Rate: £14.13 PAYE / £18.74 Umbrella

Contract: 3-month rolling contract

Salt Recruitment is working with a local authority in the Rugby area to find a Data & Systems Support Officer to assist with performance data analytics, IT system support, and reporting.

The Role:

• Provide performance data analysis using Power BI dashboards, Excel, and reporting tools.
• Support the Systems Officer in managing a new repairs IT system.
• Handle administrative tasks, including tenant communication and team support through emails, letters, and reports.
• Interpret and analyse data to drive performance improvements.
• Work to strict deadlines in a fast-paced local government environment.

What We Are Looking For:

• Power BI and Excel Expertise – Strong ability to build dashboards, analyse data, and generate reports.
• SQL or Relational Database Knowledge – Experience with writing reports and handling large datasets.
• IT Systems Proficiency – Ability to navigate various IT platforms and support system management.
• Local Government Experience (Desirable) – Previous experience in a similar role within a council or public sector setting would be highly beneficial.
• Excellent Communication and Administration Skills – Ability to liaise professionally with tenants, stakeholders, and internal teams.
