This role is remote heavy with some expectations to go into the London office when needed (est. 2 x per month) 75% commute costs are included.
Salt are partnered with a not for profit, independent business who’s purpose is to improve systems available across the UK and provide a more sustainable and efficient experience for all.
In this role the Lead Data Engineer will work with Product Owners to understand the business strategy to align and influence the technical solutions throughout. Providing insight, value and suggestions across complex data engineering projects.
This is a hands on Technical Lead role, management experience is not required. Senior Data Engineers with excellent commercial experience ready to step up into a Technical Lead role will also be considered.
The Lead Data will work across transforming scalable APIs, machine learning endpoints, data integration pipelines and data storage solutions.
This role includes responsibility as the team are looking for a Lead Data Engineer that can bring a wealth of knowledge and wants to influence new Data Engineering tools, frameworks, standards, and processes to improve the productivity and quality of outputs for the Data Engineering function.
A range of skills across: Python, Spark, FastAPI or Flask, SQL, PostgresSQL, Azure Data Lakes, Data Brick, Kubernetes
