Job Title: Procurement Officer (Interim Locum)
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Procurement Support: Collaborate with the procurement team to manage the acquisition process, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and delivering value for money.
Stakeholder Engagement: Interact with various stakeholders to understand their procurement needs, providing guidance on procurement processes, and ensuring effective communication throughout the procurement cycle.
Supplier Management: Evaluate and assess potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
Contract Administration: Oversee contract execution, monitor performance, and address any contract-related issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with procurement regulations, policies, and ethical standards, and maintain accurate records of procurement activities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Procurement Officer, preferably in a local government or similar setting.
- Knowledge of procurement principles, regulations, and best practices within the public sector.
- Demonstrated experience in procurement related to housing, highways construction, and design and build projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively engage with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with relevant ICT tools and applications.
