Rate: Rate of pay is £23.58 per hour.
- Membership of CCAB/CIMA body and active CPD or studying for a CCAB/CIMA qualification
- Fluency in English as per the Government’s Code of Practice on English Language Fluency Duty
I am recruiting for a Finance Business Partner on behalf of our client.
The working pattern for the successful candidate for the Finance Business Partner role is 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The role would require the successful candidate to work remotely with the occasional requirement to work onsite.
Finance Business Partner duties include but are not exclusive to:
- Forecasting the councils cashflow position, both daily and longer term & overseeing the daily cashflow process to ensure the council doesn’t incur overdraft charges.
- Liaising with brokers to place investment deals
- Regular reconciliations and statistical returns
- Overseeing our banking function
- Final accounts support
- Provision of budget monitoring information
- Line management of an apprentice
Experience required:
- Member of CIMA or equivalent body with post qualification experience.
- Experience of providing accountancy services.
- Extensive experience of working within and providing financial support services to a large or public sector organisation (preferably Local Authority).
- Finance experience – preferably treasury management/banking experience – not essential but preferable
- Ability to perform a varied role & have good eye for detail.
- Strategic skills – cashflow planning
- Experience in providing excellent business partnering and customer services.
- Extensive experience in the use of financial modelling and options appraisal techniques, particularly the use of spreadsheets and business intelligence tools.
