Digital Trading Manager – Contract

I’m working with a leading retailer dedicated to providing the best products and services for pet owners, who are seeking an experienced Digital Trading Manager to join the eCommerce team on a 6-month FTC.

• 6-month fixed term contract, immediate start
• Circa £55,000 per annum
• Hybrid working in Manchester (not negotiable)

As a Digital Trading Manager, you will play a key role in maximising revenue, enhancing customer experience, and ensuring digital presence aligns with the brand values.

You will:

• Develop and execute the digital trading strategy to achieve sales targets, enhance profitability, and drive growth across the eCommerce platforms
• Oversee the online product range, ensuring the right products are featured and promoted
• Work closely with the buying and merchandising teams to manage product launches, seasonal promotions, and inventory levels
• Monitor and analyse sales performance, traffic, conversion rates, and other key metrics, and use data driven insights to optimise trading decisions and improve customer journeys
• Plan and execute promotional campaigns, including discounts, special offers, and seasonal events, to drive sales and customer engagement.
• Prepare regular reports on sales performance, site analytics, and trading activity to senior management. Provide actionable insights and recommendations.

You will need:

• Strong understanding of online retail, digital marketing, and eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento)

• Strong experience in a digital trading or eCommerce management role, preferably within the retail sector

• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Excel) and the ability to translate data into actionable strategies
