Head of Digital Ventures

My client, a leading global consumer business, is on the hunt for a new leader for the Digital Product and Ventures part of the business. This role will help shape the digital footprint and future of this business unit and drive a forward-thinking agenda of new digital products and services.

The focus of the role is to drive new business models and digital assets: publishers, marketplaces, ecommerce platforms, shared economy, services, etc.

This role will require amazing stakeholder and communication skills. If you’ve worked for a big consulting firm, this is highly desired, as you’ll need to be able to remove obstacles and facilitate the acceleration projects with a variety of internal stakeholders.

Ultimately, you will be a builder, someone who likes to get stuck in to create new product and businesses that can drive meaningful impact for a big corporate. You are someone that can take technology, content, data and digital and turn that into something of value.

You are a leader and be a core part of the divisional Digital and Ecommerce leadership team but also can lead, inspire and motivate a team of 30 experts in digital ventures (Engineers, Content writers, Data experts, Designers etc..)

You enjoy collaborating. Working with Digital Leads to drive strategy and delivery against OKRs, with partners from across the business to find new ideas, challenge assumptions and bring innovations rapidly to market.

This will be a rolling 6-month contract and they’re ideally looking for it to start in the next month or so.

Skills & Experience

• Background: Experience in a high-performance culture: top tier consultancy or VC backed start-up.
• Education: Undergraduate or MBA from a top institution with some leadership experience.
• Understanding of differing business models & drivers: from OKRs, ecommerce, DTC to marketing, etc.
• Leadership: comfortable with high expectations/cadence, small, motivated teams & complex tasks.
• People Development: Experience coaching talent and improving the capability of those around them
• Data and numbers: at home with spreadsheets, data and decisions supported with numbers.
• Product Management: experience driving the creation of consumer-facing digital product using a lean mindset, test and learn methodology
• Digital Marketing: experience with online marketing, engagement, content, measurement & analytics.
