The Role
This is a key role within the Media and Digital Marketing department. With overall responsibility for delivering a huge proportion of the overall traffic and revenue, as well as managing and motivating a team of 2. SEO remains the no 1 digital priority and this role leads the SEO output, exploring and optimising all elements of technical, optimisation, outreach and innovation.

Key responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for SEO managing the 2 SEO managers to deliver all elements of the SEO strategy and operating plan
• Lead liaison with SEO agency driving efficiencies and opportunity in all elements of SEO
• Work hand in hand with brand marketing and all agencies for integrated responses with SEO at the heart of all marketing briefs.
• Link with the wider media and digital marketing team (particularly paid search) to join up all activity to optimise results and exceed the operating plan where possible.
• Drive a culture of innovation and testing, always looking for new ways of working, opportunities and search excellence.
• Work collaboratively with development, PR, merchandising, trading, marketing and operations to drive excellence in SEO and exploit all potential opportunities

Key relationships and stakeholders:
* Cultivate exceptional relationships with head of media and digital marketing, local marketing manager, senior paid media manager, attribution, customer and traffic manager as well as heads of brand & loyalty marketing
* Cultivating excellent relationships senior stakeholders at agencies, in the BUs across PR, marketing and .com

Key competencies and experience:

• Strong background and proven track record in SEO
• Ability to manage a fast paced digital marketing team and get the best of team members
• Strong presentation skills both to internal senior colleagues and external stakeholders
• Highly numerate and able to thrive in a fact and data-driven environment
• Excellent stakeholder management, proven experience of influencing in a complex business.
