Senior Client Solutions Engineer Post-Sales

My client is a cutting-edge, software company based in Zurich, Switzerland in search of an independent and open-minded individual able to design and implement mainframe migration solutions on their Linux-based platform.

they are looking for high-calibre, technically-minded people accustomed to working in large organizations with CIOs and above.

Responsibilities include:

• Customer interaction working to design business solutions, concepts and migration strategies for (SDM)
• Installation of SDM environments
• Implement SDM proof of concept & support customer application and data packaging
• Work with leading-edge technology on new features and hard- and software requirements for SDM
• Close cooperation with our development and quality assurance teams concerning customer requirements, software improvements, and usability

Minimum Qualification:

• Knowledge of System Z concepts, core components and software (architecture, operating system, logical partitioning, storage, hierarchical and relational databases, transaction monitoring, security, messaging etc.)
• Solid Linux knowledge
• Fluent in English
• Self-confident manner
• Business attire required

Preferred Qualification:

• University degree in computer science / information technology or comparable
• Knowledge of mainframe programming languages, including COBOL, PL/I, REXX, HLASM
• Knowledge of “c” programming and debugging
• Fundamental mainframe support, software- or system-engineering skills
• Working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration
• Working knowledge of enterprise technologies (storage, virtualization, clustering, system high availability, scaling, networking)
• Additional language skills (German, Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, etc.)
