Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Health care – London/remote

My new client are undergoing a large Infrastructure Refresh Programme to modernise, consolidate and strategically align our hosting and networking Infrastructure. They are looking for a Senior Engineer with strong Architecture skills to work with our Servers, Network & Security squad (SNS) to drive the design and implementation of required solutions include Application modernisation, SD-WAN refresh, Firewall upgrades, as well as leading on defining standards and compliance and regulatory activities.
Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in network architecture, protocols, and topologies.
- Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware, Nutanix or Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
- Experience in the design and authoring of HL and LL designs in the infrastructure engineering.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing complex infrastructure solutions.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements relevant to the organisation, e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
- Expertise in server operating systems, particularly Windows Server and Linux distributions.
- Awareness of emerging technologies and trends in infrastructure design and architecture.
- Effective stakeholder management skills.
