We have partnered with a multinational information technology services and consulting company that is seeking to expand their IT Support Team, focusing on aviation projects!
They are seeking a Senior Support Engineer with expertise in Manufacturing Execution Systems along with experience in Linux, Microsoft SQL, Oracle Database and PostgreSQL.
This is a classified project, so you must be eligible for UK MOD security clearance to handle sensitive information.
📍 Location – London, with 2 days in the office
🏧 Salary – Competitive, based on experience
💼 Security Clearance: Must be eligible for UK MOD security clearance
Key Responsibilities:
- System Maintenance and Optimization:
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize MES infrastructure to ensure high performance and uptime
- Conduct regular system health checks, backups, and disaster recovery drills
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise
- Installation, Configuration, and Upgrades:
- Install, configure, and upgrade MES software and hardware components
- Ensure compliance with CMMC, Cyber Essentials, and internal standards
- Perform vulnerability assessments and implement remediation plans
- User Support and Training:
- Provide technical support and training to end-users
- Develop and maintain user documentation and support materials
- Collaboration and Integration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration and improvements
Required Skills:
- Expertise in Linux, Microsoft SQL, Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and Portainer
- Strong understanding of MES infrastructure
- Experience with vulnerability assessments and remediation
- Familiarity with compliance standards like CMMC and Cyber Essentials
