Senior Support Engineer – Manufacturing Execution Systems

We have partnered with a multinational information technology services and consulting company that is seeking to expand their IT Support Team, focusing on aviation projects!

They are seeking a Senior Support Engineer with expertise in Manufacturing Execution Systems along with experience in Linux, Microsoft SQL, Oracle Database and PostgreSQL.

This is a classified project, so you must be eligible for UK MOD security clearance to handle sensitive information.

📍 Location – London, with 2 days in the office
🏧 Salary – Competitive, based on experience
💼 Security Clearance: Must be eligible for UK MOD security clearance

Key Responsibilities:

• System Maintenance and Optimization:
• Monitor, maintain, and optimize MES infrastructure to ensure high performance and uptime
• Conduct regular system health checks, backups, and disaster recovery drills
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise
• Installation, Configuration, and Upgrades:
• Install, configure, and upgrade MES software and hardware components
• Ensure compliance with CMMC, Cyber Essentials, and internal standards
• Perform vulnerability assessments and implement remediation plans
• User Support and Training:
• Provide technical support and training to end-users
• Develop and maintain user documentation and support materials
• Collaboration and Integration:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration and improvements

Required Skills:

• Expertise in Linux, Microsoft SQL, Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and Portainer
• Strong understanding of MES infrastructure
• Experience with vulnerability assessments and remediation
• Familiarity with compliance standards like CMMC and Cyber Essentials
