Are you passionate about safeguarding information assets and ensuring the highest information governance standards within an organization? Do you possess the skills to engage stakeholders, assess risks, and implement best practices in information security? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Role Overview: As an Information Governance Officer, you will oversee and manage information assets, engage with stakeholders to understand potential risks to these assets, and implement best practices in information governance. You will also collaborate closely with data managers, conduct training sessions, and ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 27001.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and present complex information security matters to non-specialist audiences effectively.
  • Design and deliver training sessions to educate staff on information governance best practices.
  • Conduct horizon planning to anticipate and adapt to expected and unexpected changes in the information security landscape.
  • Demonstrate pragmatism and political awareness when investigating security incidents.
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders across the organization, serving as an ambassador for information and cyber security.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in information governance, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Experience in designing and delivering training programs.
  • Ability to anticipate and adapt to changes, with horizon planning skills.
  • Pragmatic approach and political awareness when dealing with security incidents.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.

Working Arrangements:

  • 2 days per week in the office in London.

Salary:

  • £50,000 per annum
