L2 Infrastructure Engineer

Location: High Wycombe (Hybrid)
Rate: £500-£600 per day (Outside IR35)
Duration: 12 months

We’re working with a well-established organisation that’s looking for a Platform Engineer to support and enhance a bespoke Central System. This is a long-term contract role, ideal for someone with experience maintaining and developing legacy platforms, alongside modern cloud hosting environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues across a bespoke Central System

• Design, develop, and maintain a system built on Unibase, Unidata, and the Pick operating system

• Manage and optimise infrastructure hosted in Azure on a customised Redhat environment

• Implement improvements to enhance functionality, performance, and system stability

• Conduct code reviews and maintain high standards of development and system reliability

Key Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in system support and development

• Strong hands-on knowledge of Unibase, Unidata, and Pick OS

• Experience with Azure (or other major cloud platforms)

• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team

• Comfortable working in a hybrid model with occasional travel to High Wycombe

This role would suit someone with a deep understanding of legacy systems and a practical mindset when it comes to system improvements and modernisation.
