New Job Alert – Mobile IT Engineer – Technology Provider in Education

They’re looking for a Mobile IT Engineer to join their growing team and deliver high-quality onsite and remote IT support across schools – helping improve learning outcomes through reliable and modern IT services.

📍 EDUCATION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED – SCHOOL / COLLEGE

🔐 MUST HAVE: Enhanced DBS with Children’s Barred List – This role involves regulated activity in schools and requires an Enhanced DBS check with Barred List clearance. Candidates without this clearance cannot be considered.

✅ ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

• 1st/2nd line IT support in an on-site or mobile capacity
• Previous experience working in a SCHOOL or COLLEGE environment (mandatory)
• Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, account provisioning)
• Windows Server (2016-2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, Hyper-V
• Windows 11 and application troubleshooting
• Supporting and maintaining classroom AV hardware (e.g., projectors, smartboards)
• Managing both staff and student devices in educational settings
• Reimaging devices using standardised school tools
• Responding to and escalating tickets using a service desk platform
• Excellent time management, communication, and customer service skills
• Comfortable working across multiple school sites in London
• MUST HAVE: Enhanced DBS with Children’s Barred List

💡 DESIRABLE / NICE TO HAVE:

• Familiarity with asset management tools
• Microsoft 365 or ITIL Foundation certifications
• Knowledge of third-party cloud environments beyond Microsoft
• Experience in training or upskilling staff in IT use
• MUST HAVE: Enhanced DBS with Children’s Barred List

📍 NICE TO HAVE:

• Previous IT support experience in the education sector
• Familiarity with reimaging tools and asset management
• Microsoft 365 or ITIL Foundation certifications
• MUST HAVE: Enhanced DBS with Children’s Barred List

🔧 Role Info:

• Location: London – On-site across education sites (Hackney, Enfield and Lewisham)
• Salary: £30,000- £35,000
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm
• Start Date: ASAP
