The Future Business Model unit is responsible for the set-up of the D²-FMI platform through:

1) Data Sharing Hub (“DSH”): Setting up the platform, a.o. the technical infrastructure, the legal framework, the revenue model, governance/revenue sharing with Data Contributors, etc. The key success factors in the short/medium-term will be the collaboration and strong commitment of a selected group of key Data Contributors to share their data and the delivery of the key foundations/enablers for the platform.

2) Data-Enabled Services (“DES”): Developing use cases to gradually build the D²-FMI value to the ecosystem by building and rolling-out DES. This includes the definition of the business model and user engagement (i.e., obtaining feedback from clients and user groups). The key success factor in short/medium term for the DES deployment will be the strong commitment of a selected group of key external partners to co-create and use the DES.

3) D²-FMI as a business: Running the business after building the MVPs, which includes a.o. setting up the business model and revenue sharing with third party DES providers, maintaining relationships with service providers and clients, and managing the technical requirements..

While the short-term focus will be on the gradual build of the DSH and the deployment of individual DES, the more fundamental objective is to build the ‘right self-reinforcing ecosystem’ through a holistic successful service offering beyond the individual success of each service.

The role will vary and evolve depending on where we stand in the build of our D²-FMI platform and ecosystem, and the number of DES opportunities. However, the main responsibilities are listed below:

  • Collaborating with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements
  • Defining the vision for the team’s product
  • Creating a product road map based on this vision
  • Managing the product backlog and prioritizing them based on changing requirements
  • Overseeing all stages of product creation including design and development
  • Developing user stories
  • Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process
  • Liaising with the product team and end-users to deliver updates
  • Participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints

To be successful in this role, you should be able to identify user needs and work with cross functional teams to manage product releases. Ultimately, you help us roll out product that deliver our vision.

Candidate should have at least 5 to 10 years experience as a product owner or in similar role
