In 2018 my client set up an Agile Centre of Excellence to lead its agile transformation.
As part of this mision the Agile CoE is defining a comprehensive agile operating model adapted to the banks environment.
A first baseline of this operating model is in use and needs to further evolve according the vision of the enterprise agile future state.
In scope of this evolution the Agile CoE is looking for an Agile Process Manager who can analyse and further develop the agile practices and way of working into a coherent set of processes and activities adapted to the environment.
While the focus for the process manager is on defining processes fostering the collaboration among and across teams leveraging good practices from agile frameworks, the process manager will also use his agile expertise to support teams to further evolve their IT activities in an agile environment.
Responsibilities of the Agile Process Manage include:
* Maintain the Agile Operating model according evolution of agile good practices and new/missing activities requested from the agile teams
* Extending the current model in the depth by adding agile work products, services, guidelines and other supporting material
* Define new agile activities where the current model will be expanding to cover other IT processes
* Document the changes to the processes, validate and communicate them with the agile practitioners
Role
Contribute in defining further the agile operating model for the banks IT processes and documenting its agile activities, their tasks, responsible roles and outputs
* Operationalise the agile concepts into concrete working practices, steps, guidelines, templates and checklists ready to be used by agile practitioners
* Write out new agile content being defined in the Agile CoE in processes according the design and data model of the agile operating model
* Review good practices from agile practitioners, analyse them, generalise the team specifics and add them into the operating model
* Co-create new agile operating model content with agile practitioners
* Facilitate discussions with agile practitioners e.g. via workshops and find agreements with the different participants
* Produce clear, effective communication material for easy consumption by Agile teams
* Communicate the created content to the agile coaches and practitioners
* Collaborate with the group methodology process managers and process owners, support them by bringing the agile view in the evolution of process changes and delivering agile content and material
* Extend the operating model further by leveraging what exists in the group methodology and agree with the process managers what remains in common
* Support the evolution of the IT control objectives by bringing the control evidencing that can be provided from agile teams
Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience working in IT delivery, IT service management or relevant experience of IT process engineering
* acquired a thorough understanding of IT delivery and IT service processes
* knowledge of various IT delivery models and/or IT services: e.g. SDLC, PLC, waterfall delivery, V-model, agile delivery, DevOps, ITIL processes
* knowledge of agile frameworks like scrum or experience working in agile teams
* drive for continuous improvement
* excellent advisory, communication and stakeholder management skills (verbal, written, active listening) across a wide variety of stakeholders, from technology teams to business teams, uses these skills to convincingly present the need for process improvements and win buy-in .
