Business Design Consultant – Messenger Apps/API’s

The job of the Business Design Consultant is to support this digital transformation, by assessing the digital needs for all strategic initiatives in terms of Messenger Apps + API Layer developing critical Business Processes/Consumer Journey and support the IT department in implementing the same. This individual is responsible for driving improvement with the cooperation of all departments who are impacted by the proposed changes. The consultant supports majorly two streams of work:

• Design Consumer Journey + experiences within Messenger Apps + API Layer
• Support markets commercialize smoke-free-alternatives by implementing these features

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Transform business requirements into user stories, detailed Business Design across various Digital functions – Acquisition, Engagement, Sales, and Retention
• Adept at applying critical thinking to shape the Business Design in accordance to cross-functional strategy and solutions
• Facilitate workshops to derive and gather high-level requirements, dependencies and create high level designs + journeys
• Support Business Design Owner to deliver the approved features in accordance with Digital Roadmap and Commercial Strategy
• Partner with relevant stakeholders – Business Owner, Business Design Lead, IT Architects, IT Development teams and third-party vendors to maintain on-going engagement and clarity of design throughout delivery, ensuring the solution is fit for purpose
• Own Functional testing and coordinate UVT with relevant market/function and take it to closure for activation
• Deployment of business processes in market
  • Conduct walk-throughs of business processes for the Hubs + markets to explain the capabilities
  • Evaluate all new requests coming from Business Design Owner to enhance digital capability map
  • Support Hubs + markets during deployment
• Support IT and development teams during the build phase and validate the build for each process, by capability, to deliver the platform capabilities in line with the business strategy

Who we’re looking for:

• Strong knowledge of conducting business in a digital world
• Good knowledge on Digital Marketing concepts, Platforms and Technologies
• Experience of the online Consumer Journey/ User story writing and refinement
• Hands-on experience in crafting Business Design processes and workflows
• Demonstrable experience working in agile delivery teams, demonstrating agile modelling and documentation techniques
• Experience with JIRA/confluence or similar tools to manage the product backlog
• Experience with multi-country rollouts
• Good understanding or working knowledge of Digital Channels (Web, Social, Messenger Apps – Viber/Line/Whatsapp, etc)
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively, orally and in writing, across all levels
• Self-starter who can successfully work through challenges independently
