Job Title: PCB Engineer

Location: Salisbury

Salary: £55,000 per annum

We seek a highly skilled and experienced PCB Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Shrewsbury. As a PCB Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing Analogue, Digital, Mixed-Signal, and RF PCBs to meet the demanding performance requirements of our cutting-edge projects. Your expertise in PCB design and your ability to collaborate with other engineers will drive our technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with fellow engineers in the department to design high-performance Analogue, Digital, Mixed-Signal, and RF PCBs.

* Create comprehensive design documentation and specifications for use by PCB fabricators.

* Review PCB designs of other engineers and provide valuable suggestions for improvements. * Generate accurate PCB assembly process documentation and instructions.

* Prepare PCB data for fabrication, ensuring seamless transfer to PCB manufacturers and considering design for manufacture (DFM) principles.

* Liaise with PCB manufacturers to clarify design requirements and facilitate the smooth manufacturing of bare boards. * Develop new PCB library parts to enhance design efficiency.

* Manage part and BOM (Bill of Materials) in our PLM system.

* Provide guidance and support to junior team members, assisting in their skill development within PCB layout.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:

* Hold an HNC, HND, or BSc in Electronic Engineering or equivalent industrial experience.

* Proficiency in working with EDA software, preferably Mentor Graphics PADS PRO /Expedition PCB.

* IPC certification, such as CID or CID+, would be beneficial.

* Experience working with Component Databases, ERP, or PLM systems.

* Prior exposure to audio electronics would be advantageous.
