My client is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to join their team and work on an exciting new-age solar project that aims to revolutionize the renewable energy industry. As a Mainframe Developer, you will have the opportunity to use your technical expertise to design and develop innovative solutions for harnessing solar power and driving sustainable energy practices.

As a Mainframe Developer, you will play a pivotal role in this mission by leveraging your skills and experience to develop cutting-edge software solutions that will enable my client to harness the full potential of solar energy in new and innovative ways.

Job Responsibilities –

· Develop and deploy cutting-edge Mainframe solutions in collaboration with software developers, data scientists, and renewable energy experts.

· Designing, developing, and maintaining Mainframe applications, systems, and software components.

· In order to create Mainframe code that is both effective and efficient and that satisfies the project’s goals and quality standards, it is necessary to conduct a thorough study of the business’s requirements and the technical specifications.

· Find and fix technical problems with Mainframe programmes to keep the solar farm running smoothly and reliably.

· Maximize resource utilisation through enhanced Mainframe code and system performance for solar energy data processing and storage.

· Working along with data scientists, combine Mainframe applications with data analytics tools to facilitate high-level data processing and analysis for optimising solar energy forecasting.

· Test and validate Mainframe applications thoroughly to guarantee they meet all quality and project specifications.

· Assist internal teams and external stakeholders with technical questions and problems concerning the Mainframe, and do so in a timely and efficient manner.

· Contribute actively to the successful conclusion of the solar project by adhering to timetables and deliverables and keeping project managers and team members updated on developments on a regular basis.

· Contribute to the quality and integrity of Mainframe development activities by taking part in code reviews, design discussions, and technical presentations.

· Keep detailed records (such as technical specifications, user manuals, and guides to best practises) of all Mainframe applications, systems, and processes to promote successful knowledge transfer and sharing.

Job requirements –

· Strong expertise in Mainframe technologies: You must have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, DB2, and other relevant tools and technologies used in Mainframe application development.

· Proficient in debugging and troubleshooting: You should have excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve software defects, bugs, and other technical issues in Mainframe applications.

· Solid understanding of performance optimization: You should be well-versed in optimizing the performance and efficiency of Mainframe applications, including identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, optimizing database queries, and improving system performance.

· Strong knowledge of data security: You must have a solid understanding of data security principles and best practices, including data encryption, access controls, and other security measures to protect sensitive information processed by Mainframe applications.

· Expertise in system testing and integration: You should have experience in system testing and integration activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and supporting system testing efforts to validate the functionality and performance of Mainframe software.

· Familiarity with coding standards and best practices: You should adhere to coding standards and best practices, with the ability to write high-quality, maintainable, and efficient Mainframe code.

· Updated with industry trends and technologies: You should stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in Mainframe development, and continuously upgrade your skills and knowledge to remain at the forefront of technological advancements.

· Ability to work independently: You should be able to work independently with minimal supervision, taking ownership of your tasks and driving them to completion with a high level of accountability.
